Common uses
This medicine is an antihistamine and narcotic cough suppressant
combination used to treat cough and to relieve runny nose, sneezing, or
watery eyes due to colds or flu. It may also be used for other
conditions as determined by your doctor. Before using INFORM YOUR
DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter medicine
that you are taking. Inform your doctor of any other medical
conditions, allergies, pregnancy, or breast-feeding.
Directions
FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS for using this medicine provided by your doctor
or on the package. DO NOT EXCEED the recommended dose. Use a measuring
device marked for medicine dosing. Ask your pharmacist for help if you
are unsure of how to measure this dose. SHAKE WELL before taking a
dose. DO NOT dilute or mix this medicine with liquids or other
medicines. Doing so may change the way this medicine is released for
your body to absorb and may lead to serious side effects. STORE THIS
MEDICINE at room temperature, away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A
DOSE OF THIS MEDICINE and you are using it regularly, take it as soon
as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed
dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses
at once.
Cautions
IF YOUR COUGH CONTINUES for more than 7 days, or if you develop a high
fever or persistent headache, check with your doctor. IF YOU HAVE HAD A
SEVERE ALLERGIC REACTION to codeine, hydrocodone, dihydrocodeine, or
oxycodone (such as Tylox, Tylenol with Codeine, Vicodin), contact your
doctor or pharmacist BEFORE TAKING THIS MEDICINE. A severe allergic
reaction includes a severe rash, hives, breathing difficulties, or
dizziness. If you have a question about whether you are allergic to
this medicine or if a certain medicine contains codeine, hydrocodone,
dihydrocodeine, or oxycodone, contact your doctor or pharmacist. USING
THIS MEDICINE ALONE, WITH OTHER MEDICINES, OR WITH ALCOHOL may lessen
your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks.
Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be
dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. BEFORE YOU
BEGIN TAKING ANY NEW MEDICINE, either prescription or over-the-counter,
check with your doctor or pharmacist.
Possible side effects
SIDE EFFECTS, that may go away during treatment, include drowsiness;
dry mouth, throat, or nose; dizziness; constipation; or stomach upset.
If they continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. If you
notice other side effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse,
or pharmacist.
Drug interactions
Drug interactions can result in unwanted side effects or prevent a

If you take too much
If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or
emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overdose may include large and
unchanging pupils, shaking, hot or cold skin, slowed breathing, deep
sleep or loss of consciousness, and slow heartbeat.
Additional information
If your symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if you develop a high
fever or persistent headache, check with your doctor. DO NOT SHARE THIS
MEDICINE with others for whom it was not prescribed. DO NOT USE THIS
MEDICINE for other health conditions. KEEP THIS MEDICINE out of the
reach of children and pets.
