DICETEL® (pinaverium bromide) is used for the symptomatic treatment of abdominal pain, bowel disturbances and intestinal discomfort related to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). IBS is caused by a hypersensitivity of nerves in the bowels. This hypersensitivity causes the bowels to contract abnormally.
